8.00 (good) Superb as far as sport themed anime go. It features an intriguing combination of motorised roller skates, ecchi and an obsession with becoming the best in the field and following the road of Kings. One of the first anime I watched, and definitely one of the most enjoyable ones. Too bad they have not animated the rest of the series.

8.50 (very good) An excellent series, in all aspects. Crisp and beautiful animation and intriguing plot. What initially caught my attention was definitely the excellent production quality, and I wasn't disappointed as the series progressed. The plot got deeper by the episode. The finale was especially touching.

9.00 (very good) Not exactly as enjoyable plot-wise as it was visually, though it still is quite a masterpiece. Or rather, heavy wordplays are not for everyone. The usual cast of an indecisive, jet charming male lead and a group of enigmatic female characters still does the job. Even more so when combined with excellent visuals. The soundtrack is interesting as well.

8.50 (very good) A really exciting anime. The follow-up series (Ryuusei no Gemini) was even more entertaining for me, featuring superior audio and animation (the techy soundtrack was excellent). Of course, this is merely my opinion. Still, the series is a must-watch for any action-mystery fan. Maybe even picking up the manga adaption would be in order.

7.75 (good) The reason why I love the anime is its animation and lovely character design, as expected of Shaft. Though the plot is rather entertaining as well (or maybe not). I think I got too caught up in the excellent animation and entertaining characters to mention the lack of a strong plot. It doesn't make Denpa Onna a bad series though.

Five Centimeters Per Second

9.25 (very good) My favourite anime movie and one of my all time favourites. As with all of Shinkai's work, the artwork is simply amazing, even though the character designs aren't exactly first-class. Though that's pretty much beyond the point of the work. A bit awkward cast and simplistic characters combined with superb backgrounds pretty much do the job, I guess. An excellent combination of superb animation and touching plot.

8.00 (good) Complete ecchi overload, but not bad at that. At least it is much more refined than Queen's Blade, thus of course less likely to cause a nosebleed. The plot isn't exactly too sophisticated, but it's actually quite interesting. The main character is a bit too mainstream, though.

8.75 (very good) Funny as well as intriguing. An excellent mixture of comedy and action. (to sum it up shortly) But it definitely is worth the time, considering the feasible and quite realistic setting (of course, in an alternate timeline), if you disregard the Black Technology for a bit. All in all, it's a good series for anyone looking for some mecha action or comedy.

9.00 (very good) There are a lot of different opinions regarding the series. Some say it's a trainwreck, some praise it. I am part of the latter. It definitely is interesting and never ceases to surprise me. The sheer number of plot twists is amazing. As for animation and soundtrack as well as cast, all of those are excellent.

7.50 (good) An excellent and unique comedy, enjoyable in more ways than one. The visual part of it seems usual enough, though it is still enjoyable. Again, it does not need to be innovative to be enjoyable. It more than makes up for with its comedy factor, which cannot be disregarded.

9.25 (very good) Zombies + a truckload of ecchi = not a bad combination at all. Especially if you were to consider the OVA as well (which was especially delicious). Apparently the line between true hentai and hardcore ecchi is quite thin indeed, or so it seems. I think the OVA passed the line on several occasions. Nevertheless, one of my favourite anime, mainly due to its unique plot.

8.00 (good) I personally haven't previously watched a series quite like this, at least as far as the genre goes. Though I did watch White Album, I didn't exactly enjoy it, the mood was a bit awkward. As for Idolmaster, it was extremely enjoyable. The animation and character designs were good, the musical acts were also better than expected, as I'm not exactly a fan of J-Pop.

8.25 (good) Lovely characters. I completely fell victim to the anime's moe factor. Looking back to it, the plot is seriously lacking, but I guess I don't really care. I haven't seen a lot of series that are quite this carefree, which makes it quite unique on its own. It's actually kind of scary.

9.75 (excellent) Another great production by TYPE-MOON. This anime has claimed a permanent spot in my favourite anime. Absolutely everything about the series is excellent, every single film. Too bad it never received a true HD release, the upscale was good, but an HD release could definitely have more potential.

8.00 (good) I wonder why I keep watching the show. The borderline hentai action is often too much for me ;D Though it is enjoyable, in more ways than one. And when it comes to animation quality and character design, which are pleasant. It could not be any other way of course, since there is not much of a plot.

8.25 (good) An excellent, dark and bloody story. The plot is definitely unique, an ancient warrior travelling forward in time in pursuit of his desperate love. The animation style is quite unique, fight scenes are pulled of well, yet the plot still lacks some depth. It could be better.

9.25 (very good) A fine example of a slice-of-life comedy. Three series just were not enough, at least for myself. Awesome character design regardless of changing production companies. It definitely deserves a sequel. As for the series itself, it's one of the best slice-of.life series.

8.75 (very good) An excellent creation. One of my most favourite animes. The actual concept is quite interesting, trying to achieve peace though conflict. But I guess it isn't that uncommon in today's world. Again, animation and soundtracks are superb and it is extremely exciting, though the second season went a bit overboard, not to mention the film.

8.00 (good) Seemingly a regular slice-of-life anime, and it is, at least in the beginning. In the end it took an unexpected, scary turn. The censored ending really sets it apart from any other similar anime. And in quite a disturbing way... Of course, if you do not like severed heads stuffed in bags.

8.75 (very good) The title is indeed appropriate. It is one of the finest comedies I have watched. Even though it seems regular, that may be the reason why it is so enjoyable. I mean there is no need to use anything cutting edge or innovative if you can get he job done with some old-school comedy ;D

8.25 (good) A simple and, in my opinion, linear story featuring slice-of-life is, it this case, quite enjoyable indeed. Though generally shows like this are not to my liking, this one was really enjoyable. Maybe it was due to pleasant character designs, who knows.

8.75 (very good) What appeals to me is probably the concept of the anime itself. Too bad it is so often overshadowed by insane amounts of ecchi and the shear size of the cast's breasts ;D Nevertheless, the character designs are some of he finest and most likeable I have encountered. The carefree atmosphere is relaxing.

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi

9.00 (very good) Sometimes I wonder why I like the series so much. Is it due to the awesome movie adaption or maybe the unwaveringly insane main character? But what I do know is that it impressed me. The movie left even a deeper feeling of satisfaction hidden in subtle nuances. The combination of a crazy plot and excellent production quality does the trick.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days

9.25 (very good) A masterful creation by Makoto Shinkai and predecessor of Five Centimeters per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days is definitely worth watching. As it is his first major anime work, it is a bit raw. It is, however, still emotional and touching, nothing can change that. The art is noteworthy, as always.

8.25 (good) Great character design and crisp animation, though the plot is a bit less interesting that the main story's. The flow of the story is not too fast, that makes it easy to follow. On the other hand, it gets a bit too slow at times. I have to admit, though, the concept is excellent.

8.50 (very good) Entertaining and well animated. A well-performed adaption indeed. The first series was probably the most entertaining one, things got a bit too complicated later on. That doesn't mean it's not worth the time, on the contrary. Due to its excellent animation and comedic relief, it's definitely worth it.
